On July 16th, 2008, nearly 80 Council for a Livable World and Center for Arms Control and Non-Proliferation supporters, staff, friends and Members of Congress gathered to celebrate the Council’s annual Father Robert F. Drinan National Peace and Human Rights Awards. This year's honorees were actor Robert Schiff, Sen. Dianne Feinstein and Rep. John Hall.

Jun 10, 2008: Sen. Gary Hart Speaks at Stanford University
Council for a Livable World Chairman Sen. Gary Hart, along with Executive Director John Isaacs, spoke to nearly 50 Council supporters in the San Francisco area on May 28, 2008. Sen. Hart gave a great presentation about national security challenges that the United States faces in the 21st century -- including the threat of nuclear proliferation and unsecured nuclear weapons -- and then responded to dozens of questions from the audience.
